YMCA OF YORK AND YORK COUNTY RACE SERIES 
YORK MARATHON 
Sunday, May 14, 2017, 6 a.m. 

The York Marathon, formerly the Bob Potts Marathon, is hosted by the York Branch YMCA with assistance from the Quarterback Club of York. The marathon begins on York City Streets and transitions to the Heritage Rail Trail with a turn around point on trail. The race finish line is located in front of the Colonial Court House on West Market Street. This race is chip-timed and pending certification as a Boston Qualifier. Contact Karen Ruppert, Race Director, for more information. 
KID'S TRIATHLON 
 
The Kid's Triathlon is the perfect family event. Four different age groups will determine distances for the swim, bike and run segments.The swim portion will be in the 25-meter pool at the Graham Aquatic Center and run and bike portions will take place throughout neighboring parks and roads closed to traffic. Youth racers will be able to participate in free swim and transition clinics prior to the event. The event is open to the first 300 registrants. YORK YMCA TURKEY TROT 
Thursday, November 24, 2016, 9 a.m. 

The 2016 5K race marks the 20th consecutive year for this Thanksgiving Day tradition! Close to 5,000 runners participate in this fun, chip-timed event that loops through downtown York. The Turkey Trot race benefits healthy living programs at the York Branch YMCA, such as LIVESTRONG at the YMCA. The Catholic Harvest Food Pantry collects non-perishable food items during all packet pick-up sessions and during the race day; the food is then distributed to community residents in need.
