The Hoffman Baseball/Softball Training Academy at the York YMCA is an outstanding indoor facility with a staff of first-rate instructors. The programs are designed to allow players the opportunity to advance their individual skills. If you are serious about baseball or softball, whether or be Little League or Adult League and you are willing to dedicate the time and effort, our programs and philosophy represent the ultimate baseball/softball experience The Academy is located directly next door to the Downtown Branch YMCA. Please ask any staff member for additional directions or information. Contact Hours Summer Softball and Baseball CampsSix weeks of Baseball Camp for youth ages 8-15 will be offered this summer, along with one week of Girls Softball Camp for ages 12-14. Camps are led by instructors with college playing experience and the Hoffman Baseball/Softball Academy Director with years of playing and instructing experience. Day begins and ends at the YMCA Hoffman Baseball/Softball Academy with time in between on the field and in the pool at the Green Valley Swimming Pool and Sports Club. Recreational and advanced players will enjoy the challenge of learning and enhancing their skills, while also having fun and making new friends. Camps are from 9-3PM with extended care from 7-9AM and/or 3-6PM at no additional fee. $175 for YMCA members, $200 for non-members. Financial Assistance is available. Summer Specialty Camps
Our “specialty camps” offer youth and teens the opportunity to participate in a wide range of camps. Campers will learn and enhance their skills through the specific specialty camp or camps participating in, as well as, gaining social, cultural, physical and emotional development, while gaining new friends and having fun in a safe and nurturing environment. All camps reflect the core character values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility. Register and pay only for the weeks you want. Financial assistance is available. All baseball, softball, gym and swim, and volleyball camp participants start their day at the York YMCA baseball/softball academy next to the YMCA, then head off at 9AM to the gym (volleyball camp), gymnastics academy (gym and swim camp), or Green Valley Swim Club and baseball field (baseball and softball camps). For camps held at the Dover Branch (art, theatre, basketball and soccer), participants start and end their day in the Dover YMCA classroom or gym. Each camp is led by qualified staff with experience in each “specialty”. Campers must bring a bagged lunch, swim suit and towel.
