Rock Steady Boxing

Rock Steady Boxing, a nationally acclaimed program, provides hope and empowers men and women living with Parkinson’s disease to be more independent and improve their quality of life.

Program Description:

  • Evidence-based program
  • Supportive environment
  • Led by certified Personal Trainers and Rock Steady Boxing coaches
  • Three 90-minute classes per week
  • Non-contact boxing drills
  • Conditioning exercises for optimal  muscular endurance, agility, hand-eye coordination and overall strength
  • Emphasis on gross motor movement, balance, core strength, posture and gait
  • Intake and regular assessments of physical and cognitive ability

Level 1 & 2

Recommended for boxers who are showing symptoms but are still active and can endure higher intensity workouts with some floor work.  Class is a faster pace with more complex boxing circuits.

Placement will be determined after assessment by the coaches.

Recommended for new boxers, those returning after an extended break from boxing and boxers who would benefit from modifications and one-on-one work with a coach.

Placement will be determined after assessment by the coaches.
